Project Description

Conducted for the Department of Education, this study assessed the DOE/MOE's ICT support program (providing computers/printers) across seven districts. Examining over 400 respondents, findings were mixed: while classroom operations were rated good by 65.8%, significant challenges existed regarding infrastructure (electricity), lack of capable teachers, and maintenance. Most viewed ICT as a subject rather than a pedagogical tool. The study recommended reviewing the ICT Master Plan, developing quality standards, and adopting Public-Private Partnerships.
